When starting out, business owners have a tendency to try and tackle every single problem the moment they appear.
But when your company is growing quickly, there will be fires 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚. And if you try to put out every fire, you will burn yourself out.
I learned this the hard way when I tried to stamp out every small spark for 4 years. By myself. Immediately.
Eventually, I learned to discern between the fires that can’t be ignored – that might spread quickly and engulf your business – and those that I can let burn for a while. The leaders in my company also started to share some of the firefighting duties.
If you run a business, take a deep breath and remind yourself today:
“𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗼𝗸𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲.”
